This overnight photo shows storm damage to the Newnan High School gym and debris-strewn parking lot.

Due to extensive storm damage in many areas of the county, the school system of Coweta County will be closed on Friday March 26th.

This closure is an attempt to reduce traffic on the streets of Coweta and allow first responders, emergency and care personnel to help those most in need.

The school is closed to students and staff. Further information on the school system will be passed on as soon as the damage has been assessed.

As we are still making sure that all bugs are fixed, the website is currently free for all visitors. We will implement membership for Times-Herald.com again shortly.
