World news – Sunday Men’s NCAA Tournament Schedule, recaps

The first round of the 2021 NCAA Men’s Tournament is over, and we only have 32 teams left in Indianapolis. Those teams include a whopping eight double digit seeds, from Rutgers # 10 and Maryland to Oral Roberts # 15, and a team. No. 7 Oregon, which went through without a game due to the VCU’s COVID-19 loss.

The second round began on Sunday with eight games, with another eight scheduled for Monday. Who deserves a coveted spot in Sweet 16? Sports Illustrated will keep you updated with results and brief recaps throughout the day, from Illinois v Loyola Chicago to Oklahoma State v Oregon State. The full schedule for Sunday is listed below.

Round two started with a bang on Sunday afternoon as the Porter Moser hikers re-channeled their March magic to take out the best seed Illinois in the Midwest and the Sweet 16 to reach. Loyola set up a clinic to guide the Illinois wire-to-wire-wire that keeps star Ayo Dosunmu to nine points in 10 shots and generally cuts the Illinois offensive while keeping the hikers in need of a bucket dividing his defense. The high-ranking great Cameron Krutwig played a damn good game for Loyola with a total of 19 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three steals and held his own against Kofi Cockburn. Illinois is the first number 1 in this men’s NCAA tournament, although three more await their games in the round of 16.
