The vault is officially open. A week before Fearless (Taylor’s version) was released, Taylor Swift shared a very trippy Instagram post in which she officially opened the vault door and asked her fans to unravel another mystery. Of course, Swifties got it right, and we now know the names of the six « from the vault » songs that will be featured on the upcoming album.
« The vault door is as wide open as you will think after watching this video, » wrote Taylor alongside a video of a gold vault with jumbled letters flying out of it. A song can be heard backwards in the background, but it is undoubtedly Taylor singing.
First things first, the fans played the video backwards, and while the song is still a little shaky, there are definitely some words and melodies in it.
Then it was time to find out what all those jumbled words and letters mean, and although Taylor called this puzzle « Level: Expert, » it didn’t take fans long to figure it out. A Swiftie, @noitskatelyn on Twitter, quickly deciphered six song titles, including « You All Over Me, » which Taylor released last week.
Looking at your vault in @ taylorswift13 you broke all over me with maren morriswe were happybye, bye , babymr. perfect what you are not (and one of them shows Keith Urban)
There are also « We Were Happy », « Bye Bye Baby », « Mr. Perfectly Fine », « That’s When » and « Don’t. » You « . It also seems like one of them features country star Keith Urban, though it’s unclear which one.
Taylor previously announced that Fearless (Taylor’s version) will include six songs that she wrote for the original album in 2008 but never released.
Fortunately, we only have to wait a week for now we’ll see if we’ve properly deciphered Taylor’s latest puzzle, and the reward will be an album of newly recorded music.
