MIAMI – Canada’s Bianca Andreescu is in the final of the Miami Open by three sets after another victory.

The eighth seeded Andreescu fought twice after a breakdown in the third set and defeated the 23-year-old Maria Sakkari of Greece with 7: 6 (7), 3: 6, 7: 6 (4) in a match that ended in 1:35 p.m. ET on Friday.

Andreescu has her last four games in three sets won and won a total of six threes in a row. Eight of their eleven games this year have gone over the distance.

The Canadian will face Ash Barty from Australia in the final of the WTA 1000 event on Saturday. Barty defeated Elina Svitolina from Ukraine in the first semi-final on Thursday 6: 3, 6: 3.

Andreescu finished Sakkari on her third match point of the tie. She took command, taking two points in a row from Sakkari’s serve to move up 5-2.

In women’s doubles, Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and Mexico’s Giuliana Olmos will meet Luisa Stefani from Brazil and Hayley Carter from the USA in the semi-finals on Friday .
