Few things bring a country and its international residents together better than sport. Tonight, the Czech Republic will host Belgium in a major World Cup qualifier. Watch it on Czech TV at 8.45pm.

Brno, March 27th (BD) – Few things bring a country – and several nationalities and even the whole world – together better than sport.

The Olympic Games. The hockey world championships. The pride of having a local talent has an impact on the foreign professional league. All of this gets people talking.

However, none of them capture the excitement of football, the most democratic sport that only requires a ball, goal and player, and none of them reach the level of the World Cup.

Qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup has started. Everyone has their favorites, but the Czech national team started with a bang, traveled to Estonia and won 2-6 on Wednesday.

Tonight the Czech team will be in Prague to meet Belgium at 8.45pm. The game will be broadcast on Czech television.

Belarus is the fifth team in Group E. There are a total of 10 match days to determine group placement. The next games will take place in September, October and November. The group winners will go straight to the finals of the 32 teams in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, 2022. Fittingly, this is the 22nd edition of the four-year men’s football tournament.

The Czech Republic has an exciting team that showed great skill in beating Estonia. Midfielder Tomáš Souček led with a hat trick. He will wear the armband against Belgium tonight.

Patrik Schick and Jakub Jankto also scored goals. Antonin Barák, who gained control of a pass, knocked twice on the floor as he positioned himself and then slammed it in.

The Czech Republic and Belgium, who beat Denmark 2-0 on Wednesday , are the only group teams to have won their first games.

Belgium reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and is full of internationally recognized players such as Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Youri Tielemans (Leicester City), Romelu Lukaku ( Internazionale), Eden Hazard (Real Madrid) and Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid).

The Czech Republic, on the other hand, is young. The country failed to qualify for the World Cup finals in 2010, 2014 and 2018. There are no superstars and most of the teams play in the Czech domestic league.

The Czech national team has already qualified for the UEFA Euro Cup, which was postponed last year due to the coronavirus and is expected to start in June . The Czech Republic will play against Scotland (June 14), Croatia (June 18) and England (June 22).
