A skydiver has died after his parachute failed to use his parachute during a jump in Jurien Bay on Sunday afternoon.
The 30-year-old man was competing with friends at the Virtual Australian Skydiving Championships when the incident between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The competition included artistic events, canopy formation, formation skydiving, vertical formation skydiving, speed skydiving, and wing suit flying.
First responders rushed to the man to Providing first aid, but he died on the scene.
