Besides that, we were fascinated by the first promo for the upcoming fifth season of The Masked Singer. The spot, broadcast by The Masked Dancer during today’s season finale, offers a brief overview of some of the upcoming season’s competitors. And because we don’t yet have official names for the costumes, which you can glimpse in the video below, we’ll refer to them as Pig, Grandpa Monster, Black Swan, Iguana, Dragon, and Nightmare Fuel aka Rat.
That The 30-second video also features Niecy Nash (Claws, Never Have I Ever) as host for the show’s regular host, Nick Cannon. Nash took on the first episodes of season five after Cannon tested positive for COVID-19 in early February.
The Masked Singer will return on Wednesday March 10 at 8 / 7c. The premiere will be followed by the debut of Game of Talents, a combo variety / guessing game hosted by Masked Season TV veteran / Season 2 winner Wayne Brady.
