Overground subways and New York commuter railways will resume operations early Tuesday morning after shutdowns due to winter storm Orlena.
Subway service will return at 5 a.m., according to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office , while Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North are expected to resume operations at 4 a.m.
The above-ground subways and community railways were shut down the previous Monday as the city and surrounding areas were hit by heavy, wind-blown Snow hit.
The storm threw over 16 inches of snow into Central Park at 4 p.m. Monday according to the National Weather Service.
