Splendor in the Grass 2021 has confirmed this year’s festival as a spring event from November 19-21 in the North Byron Parklands.
The festival’s co-founders Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco also confirmed that the 2020 headliners are still coming to Byron Bay.
« The good news is that Gorillaz, The Strokes and Tyler, The Creator are available for the new November dates, » they said.
« Many thanks to our headliners for their flexibility and to our great Splendor community for their continued support. We miss you and can guarantee that when we see you in November it will be worth the wait. »
« We were so hoping to bring you the Splendor 20th Anniversary Edition this July, but we cannot stage the event you know and love within the current restrictions and international border closings.
Piticco and Ducrou stated that not a single festival in Australia has been fully booked since March 2020 and that the industry is currently operating at a fraction of the pre-Covid level.
« Australia’s live music industry is made up of many retailers and small businesses alongside the larger tour and event organizers, » they said.
« To support them all, we ask the government to continue to grant wage subsidies until the industry is at full capacity again.
« And for the music-loving audience, if a tour or event is postponed, please keep your tickets. This is the best way to support your favorite artist or event now. »
November in Byron Bay is stunning and you won’t need your winter wools for this special late spring edition of Splendor in the Grass.
Please keep your tickets and support live music if you want to attend Splendor in November.
Ticket holders who are unable to attend the new dates can request a refund from noon today until Wednesday March 31st.
Refunds must be requested from the buyer i.e. H. If a partner bought your ticket for you, they must request your refund for you as well.
