A Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed the young girl had died after being dragged out of the pool in an emerald house at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Paramedics were called home and the toddler was taken to Emerald Hospital in critical condition.
The police spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances and the police would prepare a report for the coroner.
INITIAL 7:30 am: The toddler in Central Queensland is in critical condition after being nearly in a pool drowned.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were called to a home in Emerald just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
