Wind gusts of up to 75 miles per hour are possible, says the weather service

A tornado clock remained in effect for New Orleans and other locations on the South Coast until 11 p.m. on Wednesday. as a line of gusts made its way through the area.

At 9 p.m., the clock was set for the Parishes of the Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, John the Baptist, St. Tammany and Terrebonne in Louisiana and Pearl River Mississippi county canceled as the line moved further east.

Still under observation are the parishes of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines and St. Bernard, and Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties of Mississippi.
