But as the referee explained to Dylan Grimes: “I didn’t hear it before the kick… it’s a goal

« The rule is when we hear it for the first time, which I think was right after he started it »

Channel 7 commentator James Brayshaw explained: « Umpires talk about not hearing it That’s all that matters Umpire needs to hear siren by end of quarter »

However, Lyon were less than impressed with the result and told AFL Nation: « Are you saying that we are stopping the game during the quarters for the scoring review, but we are not going review this goal? It’s archaic nonsense Please!
