Prime Minister Daniel Andrews on Sunday outlined the next steps in Victoria’s road to normal covid
Changes to coronavirus restrictions allowing visitors to return home and larger gatherings at hospitality facilities will take effect tomorrow in the Victoria area
Starting at 11:59 pm tonight, Victorians in the area will be allowed to welcome up to two adults, plus dependents, into their homes once per day
The changes remove the exclusivity of old domestic bubble arrangements and allow one social visit, from any regional Victorian per day
Hospitality establishments will also be able to accommodate a larger number of clients, with a maximum of 40 allowed inside and up to 70 outside
Regional libraries and toy libraries will be allowed to reopen to a maximum of 20 people at a time
Outdoor religious gatherings may take place with up to 20 people, this number increases to 50 from November 1
The 5 km travel limit will be extended to 25 km while the 2 hour limit for social and outdoor exercise will also be removed
Outdoor sports like tennis courts, golf courses and skateparks will be able to reopen, hairdressers are also allowed to open their doors
Metro Melbourne will complete the remainder of the third milestone of the roadmap, which includes retail, hospitality and personal care services that will reopen from November 1
The changes come the same day Victoria registers 2 new cases of the virus with no new deaths
