Palo Alto Networks announced the availability of Prisma Cloud 20, including four new cloud security modules, extending its Cloud Native Security Platform (CNSP)

A CNSP is designed to secure multi and hybrid cloud environments and cloud native applications incorporating security throughout the DevOps lifecycle

The announcement incorporates Aporeto and builds on the introduction in November 2019 of Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud New modules include the following

Data Security offers data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities, providing malware discovery, classification and detection for AWS S3

Companies operating in regulated industries can take advantage of data security when adopting the cloud to meet various compliance requirements

When used in conjunction with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) features, Data Security provides customers with important context on their true cloud risks around data exposure

Web application and API security helps protect web applications against Layer 7 and OWASP Top 10 threats, built into the unified agent framework that businesses already use today for protection platforms cloud workload (CWPP)

Identity-based microsegmentation integrates the capabilities of Cloud Network Security (CNS), following the acquisition of Aporeto, to provide end-to-end visibility of network communications as well as complete control and management security policies

Identity and Access Management (IAM) security provides customers with cloud infrastructure rights management (CIEM) capabilities and enables them to better understand who has access to specific cloud resources and secure these resources by establishing automated access to less privileged identities
