« It’s still going to be hot, but the temperatures are going to drop very slowly, » explained NBC 7 meteorologist Sheena Parveen
On Sunday, Parveen said temperatures would have dropped a little more but would still be around 10 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year
This will bring cooling to at least the middle of next week, although temperatures should still be above average in most of the region, yet an excessive heat warning remains in effect up to 8p.m today in the western valleys

If you’re heading to the beach this weekend, Parveen said beachgoers should note a risk of moderate to high rip current on Friday and Saturday, with waves expected between 2 and 4 feet, with some series of nearly 1.50 meters
