Because it is so late in the week, the 31-year-old will likely not be available for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets Amukamara could however be suitable for the Oct 19 « Monday Night Football » contest against the Dallas Cowboys
The Las Vegas Raiders released Amukamara on the last day of August, and he remained unsigned until the start of the first full week of October. He has spent the last three seasons with the Chicago Bears, where he had three interceptions in the 2018 campaign. Throughout his tenure with the Bears, he racked up 29 defended passes, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovered and one defensive score.
The New York Giants drafted Amukamara 19th overall in 2011, and he was part of the Big Blue squad that beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI He joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 and then moved to Chicago the following year
