Friday update: Drew Brees was in practice on Friday, by ESPN’s Mike Triplett Unless new information comes out it’s a good sign for him to be behind center against the Buccaneers He is also set to get Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders back this week which can only help his fantasy improve in a tough game.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was limited on Wednesday due to a shoulder injury and it looks like he will be limited again on Thursday Brees was seen working on the side without pads on Thursday , according to Mike Triplett of ESPN
We’ll see if he can do a padded workout on Friday, but there’s no doubt that is something of concern for the team, who are trying to prep Brees without overworking their shoulder as New Orleans also gets a tough game with a strong pass rushing the Buccaneers Brees defense will see the pressure in this game and won’t be able to prepare for having a relatively easy time in the pocket
The Saints have a good save in Jameis Winston, which could make it easier for Brees to settle in if they feel he needs more rest, but for now, Brees is still the likely starter. I wouldn’t be averse to taking Winston off the waivers preemptively, especially if you have Brees as a fancy starter
