The shooter has been charged with ten criminal offenses, including intentional murder and lowering a gun in a public place

Marcus has also been charged with concealing a serious and accusable crime after failing to report that he was shot

Police have identified DLASTHR, acronym for « The Last Hour », as a dangerous gang controlling the drug trafficking area in Sydney’s Fairfield district

Strike Force Raptor has since stepped up its anti-criminal network activities, issuing public safety orders to 22 men associated with the Hamzy and Alameddine families to avoid further reprisals

Public safety orders provide for restricted areas for 22 men which also limit who they can communicate with for 72 hours

It also means that the police can search their cars and homes whenever they want

« Well, the time for fun is over We have people dying on the streets and it has to stop, » Detective Superintendent Robert Critchlow told 2 GB radio station

« We are fed up with this behavior… and we will not tolerate persistent behavior that endangers the whole community »

The police are committed to using all the possibilities and legislative powers at their disposal to end the gang war
