10’s decision to try to add spice to the famous case of Azaria Chamberlain’s disappearance 40 years ago didn’t get viewers too excited, last night’s doco – Lindy Chamberlain: The True Story – only attracted 365,000 viewers for the network
Instead, the Sunday Night Couch Potatoes were more interested in slightly bad renovations and slightly bad celebrities dancing with Nine’s The Block and Seven’s All New Monty, the stars of the night
The block drew 928,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro figures, rising to 997,000 for the venue revealed As All New Monty’s finale peaked at 800,000
But arguably the biggest surprise of the evening was the 6 p.m. newscasts, with Nine beating rival Seven for the first time in a long time.
This gave Nine a victory on Sunday night with 313 percent of all eyeballs (all channels) Seven took the silver and 276 percent It was a dead end for the third, with 10 and the ABC pulling 166 percent, while SBS had 78 percent
Nine’s 60 minutes made 520,000, 10, The Sunday Project 379,000 and Seven’s Surviving The Crash, 315,000
ABC Sunday went like this: 7pm news (693,000), Grantchester (440,000), The Rise Of The Murdoch Dynasty (433,000) and Australia Remastered: Wild Australians (245,000)
