Dubai: The English cricketer Tom Banton, who had withdrawn from the Big Bash League (BBL) citing the demands for bio-bubbles, was retained by the Qalandars for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 league.
The flagship event will take place from 28. January to 6. February at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Last week, the former Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi signed with the Qalandars as an icon player for the upcoming tournament.
According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, Afridi had signed a similar contract in 2019, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) refused to issue NOCs for all active and retired Pakistani players to play in the league, creating a diplomatic crisis led between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
In the fourth edition of the tournament, the new franchises Pune Devils will make their debut at the fast-paced event.
The eight teams from 28. January to 6. February the horns will lock the Team Abu Dhabi, Maratha Arabs, Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Qalandars, Delhi Bulls, Northern Warriors and the Karnataka Tusks, which have been renamed and will be known as Pune Devils.
