World News – UK – Andrea McLean bursts into tears during the emotional final episode of Loose Women

Andrea McLean couldn’t hold back tears when she last appeared on ITV’s Loose Women after 13 years on the program.

In an interview with the visibly emotional co-presenters Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Judi Love, the presenter said goodbye during the very special episode on Wednesday.

Andrea said to her coworkers, « It really feels like now » as she wiped away her tears as she watched co-star and friend Brenda Edwards sing them out from the show.

The host then added, « Can I just say it’s like a soap opera being on easygoing women. Oh ladies this is it from me! « 

Subsequently, the four presenters remembered Andrea’s time at Loose Women, from debates to fashion choices. Wednesday’s edition of the program was also heard by a number of other ITV stars, including Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and Lorraine Kelly, who shared their best wishes with Andrea on her departure.

Ben Shephard, who appeared on Breakfast TV with Andrea in his early ITV career, made a surprise video link appearance to send his best wishes to his former co-star. The episode also saw a number of throwback pictures and clips of the TV star during her long-term stint on the daily show.

Andrea made the shock announcement that she would be leaving the show in November and was visibly emotional as she explained her reasons for leaving to fellow panelists Linda Robson, Saira Khan and Brenda Edwards.

Andrea held back the tears and began, « I didn’t think I was going to cry, I told you girls before the show, but I’m going to leave Loose Women. I didn’t mean to cry, I’m so sorry.

[I’m leaving] Because I want to be brave. All of the amazing feedback I’ve had from my book is what I want to bring to life. It was a really big decision to jump and see if I fall or fly. So I’m going to say goodbye to Loose Women. « 

She continued, « You just never know until you try, so I just want to get out there and see what the universe has in store. «
