Birmingham City can continue to add free agents to its roster and is on the verge of securing a move for a player who was once considered to be one of Europe’s Most Outstanding Talents – the fans have responded
Birmingham City are getting closer to signing former Barcelona striker Alen Halilovic and AC Milan.
The Croat will put a three-year contract on paper after agreeing personal conditions and passing a medical examination.
He has an excellent résumé and pedigree of being one of the most touted Croatian teenagers in recent years.
However, he has been on loan in Belgium and the Netherlands for the past couple of seasons before his Milan contract was terminated amicably.
Since Aitor Karanka took over the office, he will be 12. Have a contract with the Blues.
@davrosflatlee: @AlenHalilovic Welcome to Birmingham, the club for real brummies. If you need the bus schedule for number 11 just ask.
@ smokes_lets_go1: I don’t want to knock him before he even played for #bcfc. But this Halilovic boy. If he really is the Croatian Messi and is available for £ 0 then how do we get him signed? Did not play for Barca / Milan. Didn’t set the world on fire in the Belgian / Dutch league. Fabbrini / Villabla Mark 3?
@ScottieJinks: Apart from the football manager, this is a coup as there is a top footballer there. #BCFC has been absent from midfield for years: Sanchez / Bela / Leko / Halilovic / MSJ / Clayton / Toral / Crowley / Sunjic / Gardner / Kieft is a fantastic stable at this level. Give Karanka time, it will come.
@MyNoseisBlue: Halilovic is undoubtedly very talented! But does he look just like Sanchez? Small, with the left foot, swims the wide right position. Surely a mobile striker is more urgent than another AM?
@ Jclarke724: Good to see this standard of the player coming in. Sorry for Crowley who’s going to be the case guy for this
