Sean Dyche says he is in the dark about his budget ahead of the January transfer window
Burnley boss Sean Dyche doesn’t expect to spend a « fortune » in the next month, which may undermine Clarets’ hopes of signing Joe Worrall’s long-term goal.
The Premier League side have been closely linked to the Nottingham Forest defender over the summer but the clubs have been too far apart in their ratings of the player.
Speculation linking Worrall to a move to Turf Moor has recently re-emerged, but Dyche’s purchasing power may depend on whether a takeover of the club is complete.
The Clarets have put together an undefeated three-game run lately but remain in the top three ahead of today’s meeting with the Wolves.
January reinforcements would help Dyche’s efforts to keep the club in the Premier League for the fifth straight year after spending less than £ 1 million this summer.
« Until you can sit down with people if there ever comes a takeover, I don’t really know (about the January funding), so we’ll be watching this room and working diligently on possible situations as they arise », Said Dyche, a former youth teamer in Forest.
« The moment you’ve seen our colossal spending over the summer, I don’t think a fortune will be available unless there is a takeover. « . I would be surprised if it did. It wasn’t summer so I don’t see why that would change. ”

Sarah says, « I want to hear from the Reds fan base who are paying hard-earned cash to follow the club and giving fans a voice on everything Forest has to offer. « . Get in touch whether it’s a topic of conversation from a game, an incident, or an issue that isn’t being addressed. «

He continued, “I’m very proud of the players here, they keep working and are working very hard right now to turn things around and you have seen us start getting results and getting clean Leaves and belief in them.
« I will certainly not question the group we have. When there is a change of ownership and money becomes available, it still needs to be spent on the right people. You don’t just get people into it. ”
Talk of a takeover has been in the background for months, and Dyche has already voiced his confusion over the lack of information available to him.
