World News – UK – EastEnder’s Jake Wood confirms Max Branning will not be killed

. . The door is very open.

. .

Jake Wood teased some exciting news about his exit from EastEnders and confirmed that Max Branning will not be killed.

The soap star is set to leave Albert Square in February after playing the former auto salesman for 15 years, which broke the hearts of longtime viewers.

However, it may not be the last time they see Max, with an open exit for the possibility of his return.

During his appearance on Good Morning Britain, Jake said, « One of the security guards when I drove in last week said, ‘Sorry to see you go, are you going in a cab or a coffin? «

When Piers asked if he knew how his character got off the soap, Jake said it would be by taxi and added, « Yeah, it won’t be exactly a taxi, but they keep the door open so I am satisfied. ‘

The TV star then confirmed that he still had about two weeks of filming and that his final scenes should be broadcast in mid-February 2021.

After Piers listed his main storylines from affairs to deaths, Jake joked, “I think a far more traumatic moment was when [Max] shared a hot tub with Ian Beale. ‘

It comes after Jake’s former co-star Lorna Fitzgerald, who played his daughter Abi Branning, said she was looking forward to his exit.

« I’m very excited to see Jake’s departure and Max because I’m just intrigued, what’s going to happen? » she said to Metro. co. United Kingdom.

« It’s very nice to be a fan and not know what’s going to happen, » said Lorna. “You find out in real time with everyone else. ‘
