HOLLY Willoughby has teamed up with Freddie Flintoff for the new ITV show The Real Games, which will hit our screens next year.
The couple is joined by former professional soccer player Alex Scott as a trackside reporter, with Chris Kamara taking on the role of commentator.
Holly, 39, raved that she couldn’t be more excited to sign up to host the show, which is a far cry from her usual presentation duties alongside Phillip Schofield for This Morning.
At the Real Games, celebrities compete against each other in a series of sporting challenges. A dozen famous faces are pulled out of their comfort zones to be exercised and eventually compete in the hopes of winning the whole thing.
It will be broadcast for a week, with six male and six female celebrities competing in the athletics arena, swimming pool and gym.
Holly said, « I’m very excited to present The Real Games with Freddie and the rest of the team.
Freddie added, « This is going to be a brilliant week of television. Our celebrity competitors must be at the top of their game to reach the medal table. «
The stars will do everything from double diving to 100 meter sprints. Each episode includes preparation for the challenges as well as live coverage of the events.
The winner will be crowned in an exhilarating final show while fans excitedly watch the medal table take shape at every rate.
Nicola Lloyd, ITV editor, said of the series: « Obviously 2021 will be a big year for sporting events, but for entertainment in a sporting setting, look no further than the real games.
« With a multitude of famous faces, we expect big names, big events and gold medal winning egos.
« We’re excited that Holly is running us with Freddie, Alex and Chris, and we’ll be revealing more about the competitors ahead of the show. We can’t wait for the fun and games to begin. «
