The Reds are said to be interested in the posh striker, described as’ the next Wilfied Zaha’ ahead of the January transfer window.

The Reds have been linked with the 24-year-old over the summer, along with a number of Premier League clubs including West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Fulham.

And the latest reports have again named Forest among the clubs that are interested in the player again. You face more Premier League competition, however.

Peterborough manager Darragh MacAnthony has already named his award for the player. The club is known for making a tough business selling its assets.

« We have already identified his replacement should he leave us for £ 15m or whatever, » he recently told The Hard Truth Podcast.

While Forest fans are generally happy with the link, some fans have suggested one more move the club should take regarding Peterborough. The Posh has a reputation for finding some of the best up and coming players in the leagues below the Premier League.

Djs: This is the type of signature that would make sense, but not at 15 million. GBP

Alfie Fox: Siriki Dembele, Matty Longstaff on loan and a new RB in January, and this season we could actually be fine # nffc

Nick Guise: Can we sign the Peterborough Scouting Network? Incredible talent discovery over the past 5 years! #nffc

Andrew Chard: Keep going with Knockaert. . . and Ameobi in the summer (unless someone makes a bid in January) and get that boy in.

Your owner keeps telling everyone that clubs in the lower league need help, a bid of 5 million in the summer. GBP

Steve Barlow: Wouldn’t it be a good idea to offer the Peterborough scout who keeps exposing this forward money that he can’t refuse to do & work for Forest. The list of talented strikers Peterborough discovered & was resold for big bucks is incredible.

Jarvalho: Exactly right, poaching the Peterborough scouts would save us a package. We could agree to loan players to Peterborough first.
