English cricketer Stuart Broad was announced as the second nominee for the BBC’s « Sports Personality of the Year » award.
The fast bowler was dropped for the first test of the summer against the West Indies but returned and made a statement about his performances.
The 34-year-old took 16 wickets with an average of 10. 93 to pass 500 for his career.
He told BBC Sport: « I don’t think anyone can predict when their spells will come. If it absolutely clicks 100% for him when he finds the perfect length, he’s a handful because he’s so skillful.

Lewis Hamilton is shortlisted for Sports Personality of the Year after winning his seventh F1 World Championship in 2020.
The Brit is expected to be knighted in the New Year as he matches Michael Schumacher’s incredible performance.
Hamilton won’t be racing at the Sakhir Grand Prix this weekend after testing positive for coronavirus.
After winning his seventh world title, Hamilton said: « Dream the impossible for all children. «
Once out of the car, he added, « Seven is just inconceivable, but when you work with such a large group of people and really trust each other, there is just no end to what you can do together.
Hamilton will try to break Schumacher’s record next season when he signs a new deal with Mercedes.
