For those of you who preferred the old commenting system, we’ve got a few tips that should help make today’s thread of the game more enjoyable or more familiar.
We hope this helps you as Vox Media continues to work with Coral to recreate the feedback and community experience we had before the change. We appreciate all of your feedback and continued support during this transition
The Colts head into the half with a 17-7 lead, a lead they should be able to protect in the second half for an important win early in the 2020 season. Veteran corner Xavier Rhodes has filled in the stats sheet with two interceptions, one of which was returned for the touchdown Tight end Mo Alie-Cox racked up 46 receiving yards and received a 2 receiving touchdown on his 2 targets
Ignoring some of the positives and outliers, the Colts didn’t look particularly good in the first half The secondary was picked apart for much of the game Rhodes had two interceptions in the first half time, but his second was on a missed cover and was more luck than skill The Colts have a 10 point lead, but rookie kicker Rodrigo Blankenship missed his second basket of the young season by bouncing his attempt from a standing position after a nice offensive push to enter the goal field
The vaunted hasty offensive? It really wasn’t a factor in the first half. The defensive line? Failed to shake Sam Darnold and missed several opportunities for sacks or negative plays. Urgent defense? This allows Frank Gore and the drop throwers to travel over 4 yards per run Braxton Berrios can’t play more than 10% of the offense for the Jets once Jamison Crowder returns and looks like a talent from all over the world
While most of the half-time speeches are influenced the most by the scoreboard, this could be an example of the coaching staff expressing deserved disappointment in a first-half performance that rested more on chance and less on skills The Colts are expected to dominate the Jets and seem rather lucky
