Again, ESPN’s broadcast team consists of Anish Shroff on play-by-play, Tom Luginbill as analyst, and Kris Budden as secondary reporter As for the call radio, as always Voice of the Sooners, Toby Rowland will bring it to you, with Teddy Lehman and Gabe Ikard working as analysts and Chris Plank as secondary reporter

The Sooners continued their ascent in the polls, gaining five spots to No 19 after last weekend’s dominant 62-28 win at Texas Tech With that, they will enter a game against Kansas as a ranked group for the 12th time in a row

Halloween’s biggest offensive story in Lubbock was the return of Rhamondre Stevenson, as the senior running back scored a trio of touchdowns while rushing for 87 yards on 13 carries en route to being named a player Big 12 co-offensive of the week Additionally, quarterback Spencer Rattler continued to stand out, going 21 of 30 for 288 yards and two no-turnover touchdowns.

“I mean he’s getting better,” said head coach Lincoln Riley “Each of these experiences is a great opportunity for him to learn, but at the same time every week is a new challenge I mean , we said a bunch It’s about how you react every week So definitely playing, starting, being in different situations has been good for his overall growth But another key this week for him is that he must be really good this week

« That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some lessons you learned and things you can take away from it, but it’s such a weekly affair, you know, with all these guys, with our whole team You certainly take the experiences of the past, but we’re only good this week, and it’s definitely no different there «

On the other side of the ball, it was a similar story Defensive end Ronnie Perkins, likewise, came back from his suspension and made an immediate impact with a few tackles for loss and a rushed quarterback

« Yeah, I mean, you know, they’re both guys with some experience, and we’ve always been able to make them work, even though most of them were part of it. ‘scout teams so far, « said Riley » And so they kept on finding work, training [It’s] not exactly like playing on a Saturday But yeah, I mean I think we had great plans for both of them, we had limited roles for both, we didn’t try to do too much, especially finding out as late as we did and not having as much notice

« And so I thought the plan was good, and I thought these two guys had done a really good job I mean they both made big plays They sure both committed some errors, which was normal But these are guys who have already played, and you can certainly see it «

Including Perkins’ contributions, OU racked up nine tackles for a loss They were relentless at the point of attack and again pushed forward second year of the system Alex Grinch

“I mean that’s the style we want to play,” said Riley “There’s no doubt about it Now you know what we can become, I mean, I think still it’s out there, the way we’ve played so far But it’s absolutely the style we want to play We want an aggressive front, that’s causing a lot of havoc, where you have a lot of different people that create penetration, which makes it difficult to attack, which then creates opportunities for an aggressive back-end »

The Sooners don’t think they have a huge challenge ahead of them But they will still have to bring it this weekend so they can run their business the way they want
