World News – United States – The Munchkin-filled TurDunkin is the extreme Thanksgiving Day of 2020

. . Just in time for Thanksgiving on Thursday, a TurDunkin 'recipe for a turkey that is doused and filled with Dunkin' Donuts ingredients has surfaced online.

. .

In a year of curveballs, Americans might want to spend Thanksgiving focusing on what makes them happy. And if you love turkey, as well as various Dunkin Donuts products, here’s a bizarre recipe that can surely help you achieve ecstasy.

Meet the TurDunkin, not to be confused with the turducken – a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken. Boston Magazine reports that this dish, created by MIT students in 2010 on a blog called Unwholesome Foods, reappeared in time for this week’s celebrations.

Aside from the Flamin ‘Hot Cheetos turkey, which went viral last November – mostly for the industrial-size block of cheese filled in its den – this bird is first marinated overnight in a bath of orange and strawberry coolattas, that there is a fluorescent pink color. Next, the cavity is filled with 50 toasted munchkin donut holes that are sautéed with onions and then mixed with dried sage and vegetable broth. Later, when the turkey in the oven reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees, a frosting that was inspired by none other than a glazed donut gets a light tack. Just 20 minutes later when the turkey comes out of the oven, a layer of rainbow sprinkles is placed on top.

To top it off, the dish is served with a coffee sauce made from Dunkin’s fine brew.

If it looks like a terrible combination, it’s because it is. But one of the creators of the recipe, Beth Baniszewski, told Boston Magazine it wasn’t half bad.

“Pretty good! Sweet and sour the right way, ”she said, adding that there is a regret. “In retrospect, we should have used a traditional red-eye sauce. You live you learn. ”

The recipe includes a bonus extra: Mash Browns or Mashed Rösti from Dunkin. And yes, you can pour any sauce you ultimately choose over them.

The recipe’s blog post concludes with reviews from the original developers. Two of them mentioned that the coolatta could not penetrate the turkey meat but the bites were still moist. One of them also noticed her love for the sweet and savory combinations that this dish absolutely offers.

added, « While the first bites were delicious, I quickly descended into a hell for gluttony that would be beyond the imagination of pedestrians like Dante. Other than that, I had several servings. ”
