WWE Championship – Drew McIntyre (c) vs Randy Orton: Orton attempted to attack McIntyre from behind as McIntyre operated his ring McIntyre was on top, turning and attacking Orton first After a brief first leg fight- back outside the cell, McIntyre dragged Orton through the door to officially start the game McIntyre took Orton out of the ring and ran him into the cage several times before shoving Orton’s face into the steel Orton turned things around by focusing on McIntyre’s previously broken jaw before using a slingshot to ram the champion’s throat into the lower string before stomping on McIntyre’s head as she was on the top of the ring steps. As McIntyre started a comeback, Orton stuck a thumb in his eye before the Irishman whipped the champion in the ringside steps McIntyre has finally made his comeback, hitting a series of clotheslines and multiple stomach-to-stomach suplexes before countering an RKO with a neck-cutter After putting Orton across a table outside the ring, McIntyre made the mistake of taunting Orton before throwing him into the ring, allowing Orton to kick the ropes twice for a pair of low kicks. as McIntyre tried to step into the ring Orton followed with a hanging DDT but McIntyre kicked one out, leading Orton to leave the ring, retrieve a set of bolt cutters, and open the cell door After a scuffle on the entry ramp, Orton climbed to the top of the cell McIntyre followed him, but Orton grabbed a steel pipe he tried to swing at the champion Orton then started to descend the cell , again with McIntyre chasing him The two fought on the cell side before Orton managed to bring down McIntyre and cross the ringside announcement table McIntyre returned to the cell and countered an RKO in a throwback, recalling the SummerSlam match, but hit a Claymore after a count of two McIntyre lined up for another Claymore, but Orton dodged and hit a RKO to score victory Aside from the somewhat forced « cell crash point » that must happen every year, it was a solid game, although it had a lot to do to tie the previous two games in the cell. – especially Banks vs Bayley It was the third best of the three, but still a very good game Randy Orton beats Drew McIntyre via pinfall to win the title Note: B

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Bayley (c) vs Sasha Banks (Hell in a Cell): As the cell was lowered before the game, Banks grabbed Bayley’s steel chair and threw it under the cage, depriving the champion of one of her great advantages to come in the match Banks locked a first bank statement, but Bayley bit the challenger’s hand to escape the hold. The two scuffled outside, using sticks and kendo tables, including Banks setting up a table as a ramp and running to hit a meteor that pushed Bayley into the cage Another meteor back in the ring got a count of two for Banks Bayley was able to slow the action down soon after, including pulling a chair out from under the ring, but Banks stepped up his attack right away, suspending two. kendo sticks between the stairs and the cage It would backfire, however, with Bayley using a drop toe grip to lead Banks through one of the sticks and into the steps of the ring. Banks returned after a period of Bayley domination, hitting a sunset in the cell wall Bayley would make a similar move back into the ring moments later, throwing Banks into a chair wedged between two turnbuckles Banks would retaliate with a Backstabber in the Bank Statement, but Bayley slipped out of the ring and led Banks into the ring apron and slammed her head in the ring frame before hitting her several times with a kendo stick. Bayley stuck two kendo sticks together and hung them between the ring and the cell, but before she could do anything with the stick, Banks sprayed her with a fire extinguisher Bayley managed to grab a chair, but Banks lay in her over and over with a kendo stick Banks tried to follow with a frog splash, but Bayley pulled a steel chair over her body to counter Bayley hung a ladder between two chairs in the corner and tried to jump up and hit Banks with another chair, but was countered by Banks hitting a stomach to stomach for a count of two Bayley was unable to take the win with a Bayley-to-Belly, and moments later she found herself locked in the Bank Statement, this time with a chair wrapped around her head The banks tightened the wedge stomping the chair to force submission It was a brutal game, full of some really great moments and drama Besides being a little awkward at first, it was as good as you could ask for these women Sasha Banks def Bayley via submission to win the title Note: A

Otis vs. The Miz (Winner gets money in the bank contract): Miz went for an early Skull-Crushing final but was countered by Otis Again, Otis countered Miz’s offense sliding out of the way of a dropkick between ropes to hit a large clothesline But John Morrison provided a distraction that allowed Miz to gain the upper hand – and is again interfered with hitting Otis. Otis then fired after a big offense Miz Before Otis could hit the caterpillar, Morrison dragged Miz out of the ring Morrison was about to use the Money in the Bank briefcase to hit Otis but was grabbed by the referee, who kicked him out of the ringside Moments later, Tucker hit Otis with the briefcase, turning on his friend and allowing Miz to score the pin and capture the Money in the Bank contract. Over time it became clear that the turn was going to happen, but it was probably the most compelling option available. How WWE handles a rivalry between the two after they split between different brands remains to be seen, however Miz def Otis wins Money in the Bank contract Note: B-

The #CharismaticEnigma brings the fight, but the POWER of @IAmEliasWWE takes center stage in WWE #HIAC !! @JEFFHARDYBRAND picTwittercom / HDkfWzeQCk

Elias vs. Jeff Hardy: Elias performed a song before the game, again insisting that Hardy was the man who hit him with a car months ago, even though it had been very clearly TV tuned Elias dominated the start of the match, hitting a sit-out electric bomb from an electric chair for a close fall Hardy came back with a Whisper in the Wind for a two count Hardy followed with a Twist of Fate but Elias ran out of the ring when Hardy got on top for the swanton Elias grabbed his guitar, but Hardy took it from him and hit Elias in the back with it, causing disqualification It looked like a result which was the product of not wanting any man to suffer a loss, and that is never satisfying on the pay-per-view Elias def Jeff Hardy by disqualification Note: C-

Universal Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs Jey Uso (Hell in a Cell I Quit match): After Reigns’ early dominance, Uso made his first big comeback, hitting a pair of suicide dives and leading Reigns into the cage Reigns would respond by hitting his first spear of the match, telling Uso he would regret it in five minutes if he didn’t leave the match right away Uso, of course, didn’t quit, and his next comeback attempt was cut short by another Reigns spear Uso hit a superkick and a Uso Splash, but Reigns refused to stop after Uso followed with another splash. , but Regins responded by saying, « The head of the table never leaves » Uso used a strap to whip Reigns on several occasions, but Reigns came back with his third pitch of the match and started using the strap to whip Uso Both men tied the strap to their wrists, turning the match into a sort of impromptu strap match above the stipulations of hell in a cell and I stop Uso would end up wrapping the strap around Reigns neck and trying to choke him Reigns came back and locked himself in a guillotine choke, but Uso again refused to leave Reigns dragged Uso to the ropes, swinging his head off the ring apron and hitting a drive-by, followed by a second with Uso stuck between the ring steps and post The referee tried to stop the match, but Reigns wouldn’t allow it without Uso leaving WWE officials then ran into the cell to try and end things, but Reigns chased them away and pinned down Uso under the steps of the ring As Reigns was about to step over Jey’s steps, Jimmy Uso ran to the ring and covered his brother, yelling at Reigns that they had their backs no matter what he was going through. Reigns started to cry and said, « I don’t even know who I am anymore I’m sorry » Reigns and Jimmy shook hands before Reigns dragged him into a guillotine choke Seeing his brother in danger, Jey eventually resigned, awarding the victory to Reigns After the match, Afa and Sika were on the entry ramp, hugging Reigns and decorating him with a lei. Many good things in the match, but way too much talking during the match and a ham fist drama that served as a bit of hindsight for a feud that was so good Roman Reigns def Jey Uso via verbal submission to retain the title Note: B
