A fruit store and bakery are the latest additions to Victoria’s growing list of public locations for coronavirus.

Sacca’s Fruit World and BonBon Bakery, both in the Broadmeadows Central shopping mall, were added to the list of Tier 1 exposure locations on Monday evening.

A confirmed case of COVID-19 visited the bakery on February 9th from 12.30pm to 12.45pm and the fruit shop from 12.30pm to 1pm.

The state health department said anyone who visited the stores during the same period must be immediately isolated, tested and kept in isolation for 14 days.

The health department also added the west side of the Broadmeadows Central mall, the fresh fruit and meat department, as the third tier exposure location after visiting the positive case.

Anyone who has visited a third level exposure site should monitor and test for symptoms and isolate if they develop.

The confirmed case was purchased in Sheds A and B – also known as Section Two, Fruit and Vegetables – and used in the women’s toilets next to Shed A on February 11 between 8.25 and 10.10 a.m.

Anyone who has visited this section of the market during the same period must immediately isolate, get tested and remain isolated for 14 days.

The health department said the sites on public exposure lists are not a current risk to the public and could be visited in line with coronavirus restrictions.

Victoria registered a new locally acquired case of coronavirus on Monday and increased the Melbourne Airport Holiday Inn’s cluster to 17 cases.

The number of active cases in Victoria is 21, consisting of 14 locally acquired cases, a decrease from one since Sunday and seven hotel quarantine cases, an increase of one.
