World News – US – Gateway Charter High School at LOCKDOWN

Gateway Charter High School students are currently closed. Lee County Sheriff units are currently on site and are assessing the situation, which is flexible at this time. All students are in their classrooms.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office advises the school to close it « completely ». No one will be able to enter or leave the building. Anyone who comes to school will not be granted access by the police.

Earlier, a letter was sent to parents stating that there were threats by text, which resulted in Gateway High School being placed in custody.

Principal Amber Jensen says law enforcement authorities were contacted immediately and students were safely in their classrooms. The threat is taken very seriously and there is an increased police presence at the school. They will remain on campus until the situation is resolved.
