GREEN BAY, Wis (WBAY) – In solidarity, the largest hospital systems in Green Bay say that the rally planned by President Donald Trump on Friday could have negative effects in the fight against the spread of COVID-19

Bellin Health, Prevea Health, HSHS Mary’s and St. Vincent Hospitals and Aurora BayCare Medical Center released a joint statement Thursday evening

« It’s more important than ever to avoid large crowds, especially here in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where we are seeing the fastest spread of COVID-19 in the United States, » the statement said.

Thousands of people are expected to show up for the presidential rally at Austin-Straubel International Airport on Friday as the two presidential campaigns make a final blow to Wisconsin ahead of election day

« The safest option would be for everyone to stay at home and have a virtual event, » said Brown County public health spokesperson Claire Paprocki « We know that probably won’t be the case »
