Season 2 of Verzuz kicks off Thursday night (November. 19) in a suspenseful confrontation between Gucci Mane and Jezzi.

The rapper has been trapped for years in a long and very public feud involving multiple diss tracks, physical bickering and even a murder charge against Gucci Mane in the 2006 murder of Jeezy’s friend and former co-worker Pookie Loc. (The rapper was later acquitted of the charges against him. )

The fight was originally scheduled between Jeezy and T.. . I am. But after some behind-the-scenes negotiations, Gucci acquired T.. . I am. His place with the rapper’s blessing. Now this . . . Do what people want to see !! He wrote on Instagram alongside the updated battle news, adding « The Trap Musik Greetings to all of you ». .

The Verzuz showdown between Gucci and Jeezy will take place on Apple Music on Thursday at 8:00 pm. M. ET / 5:00 AM. M. PT. Don’t have Apple Music? As with previous encounters, the battle will also be broadcast live on the platform’s official Instagram account as Instagram Live.

Last season, Verzuz became a sensation during quarantine thanks to fights between the likes of Lil Jon, T-Pain, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle also made an unforgettable show as the final battle of Season 1, while Brandy vs Team. Monica’s duel became the most watched fight in Verzose history, with 1. 2 million viewers watch the Legends of R&B compete head-to-head.
