Moms struggling to get child care to attend vital health care appointments, it has been revealed

Leading breast cancer charity Breast Cancer Now has announced that nearly one million women have missed their breast cancer screening appointments due to the pandemic

However, in accordance with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, childcare provider ‘Yoopies’ is offering two hours of free childcare to any woman who is going to have her breasts checked

The campaign is called « ReadySetCheck » and aims to encourage busy moms to take the time to protect and prioritize their health, according to Yoopies

In a statement, they said: « From juggling household responsibilities, childcare and work commitments, many moms are already struggling to find the time to focus on themselves and their health

« In light of the pandemic, time seems increasingly long, and with the high-profile reports of Covid-19, it’s easy to overlook the importance of early diagnosis of breast cancer

« We want to make sure moms take the time to be checked with the peace of mind that child care is covered Whether it’s for a mammogram appointment or seeing a GP afterwards having noticed an unusual change in their breasts, mothers have two hours of childcare available to us « 

To claim the two free hours, click here, register and upload a confirmation of your mammogram or doctor’s appointment (either a photo or a screenshot)

After these two hours of free childcare, you will be automatically added to your account, then you simply book your babysitter online
