World News – US – NFL Streaming: Best Ways to Watch Soccer 2020 Live Without Wires on Thanksgiving Day

. . Cable cutters can stream games live from CBS, Fox, NBC and NFL RedZone. Here is how.

. .

With the 2020 NFL season in week 12, there are plenty of ways to catch the most popular sport in the US. Paying for a cable subscription is the simplest solution. You can watch your local team and a host of others without worrying about what channels are available.

However, for cable cutters looking to save some cash, the streaming options for NFL soccer get a little more complicated. It’s best to subscribe to a live TV streaming service, but the sheer number of channels that broadcast live games – local CBS, NBC, and Fox channels, as well as the national feeds from the NFL Network and ESPN – means you can to do this, you either have to get relatively expensive service or compromise and miss a few games every week.

The only way to get the full football experience is to get a whole bunch of channels from your TV provider. Most of the Sunday NFC games are on Fox, the AFC games on CBS, and the Sunday night football on NBC. Monday night football is only on ESPN. Although Fox has most of its games on Thursday nights, there are some that are only available to the NFL network (and streamed on Amazon Prime Video and Twitch). . Thanksgiving football will be on CBS and Fox.

With that in mind, we’re offering our recommendations on how to best watch NFL wirelessly.

Last year, PlayStation Vue was our streaming service for NFL fans for $ 55 a month, but Sony retired earlier this year. This gives cable cutters two more expensive options.

At $ 65 monthly, a FuboTV family plan and regular YouTube TV subscription activate all NFL channel boxes. Local channels CBS, NBC and Fox are included in many markets, as are ESPN and the NFL network, so you can watch Monday evening, Thursday evening and Sunday evening.

Would you like RedZone to follow your fantasy team? This is available for both services as part of an add-on for an additional $ 11 per month. YouTube TV users can add the Sports Plus add-on by clicking on your profile and going to Settings and then the Membership tab. FuboTV users can select Manage add-ons for the Sports Plus offer in My Profile.

Both YouTube TV and FuboTV’s family plan allow for three simultaneous streams, with YouTube offering unlimited cloud DVR and FuboTV 500 hours of storage. The two services are also widely used, with apps for iOS and Android, the web, and on TVs via Roku, Chromecast, Android TV, Apple TV, and Fire TV.

If we had to choose between the two, we would recommend YouTube TV overall. While FuboTV receives points for broadcasting the Fox games on Thursday night in 4K, YouTube TV has access to Turner channels such as TNT, TBS and CNN, as well as PBS and a superior DVR.

FuboTV’s basic plan, called Standard, is available for $ 60 per month and offers the same channels as the Family plan. Hence, it may be an option for soccer fans looking to save a bit. However, since it offers a paltry 30-hour DVR and only two simultaneous streams, we think the extra $ 5 is well worth it.

Many other live TV streaming services carry these local channels and ESPN, but most of them lack NFL Network and RedZone. Hulu with Live TV and AT&T TV Now (formerly DirecTV Now) are missing both.

With Sling TV’s $ 45 a month Orange-Blue plan, you get ESPN and Fox and / or NBC in select major markets, but you’re still missing out on CBS. In Week 1, the streaming service signed a deal with the NFL to roll the NFL network back to its Sling Blue package and bring RedZone back to its $ 10 monthly Sports Extra add-on.

The following table summarizes everything. The base price is listed after the service name, while a dollar sign indicates that the channel is available for an additional fee.

If you want to save some cash, check out Sling Blue for $ 30 a month. While there is no ESPN, meaning you’ll be missing out on Monday Night Football, you can get Fox and NBC in select markets. The catch is that these markets are mostly in big cities. So if you live outside of any of these areas, Sling Blue may not be for you.

The Week 1 agreement between the NFL and Dish restored the Sling Blue package for the NFL network and allowed sports fans to add RedZone through the company’s Sports Extra add-on for $ 10 per month.

Fox, of course, broadcasts most of the NFC and Thursday night games (with the others on the NFL Network), while NBC has Sunday Night Football. CBS, which broadcasts the majority of the AFC games, is not included at all on Sling. Of course, an antenna can fill these local channel gaps.

There are a few apps that offer CBS ‘AFC games live on Sundays, including CBS All Access for $ 6 a month. Depending on where you live, your local CBS station (and those NFL games) might not be available. CBS offers live streaming services in many markets. Here you can check for yourself whether there is live CBS streaming in your region.

Locast is now 100% free. However, it’s currently only offered in 23 cities and not all of them will have CBS, Fox and NBC.

And as mentioned above, having a wireless antenna attached to your TV is another free option that doesn’t require streaming as long as you have good reception.

Local and prime time games can be viewed for free on your iOS or Android phone or tablet through the Yahoo Sports app. Some games, such as the Bengals and Browns matchup next Thursday on the NFL network, require you to have a cellular connection and not WiFi due to « rights restrictions ». « Keep this in mind when you have a limited data plan.

Thursday Night Football is probably the most complicated part of the NFL streaming schedule. Most of the games will be available on the NFL Network, Fox, Amazon Prime Video and Twitch.

However, a handful of Thursday games will be shown exclusively on the NFL Network, including Saturday’s double heads weeks 15 and 16. Amazon and the NFL network don’t have Thanksgiving games either.

However, the matchup on Christmas Day (or « Thursday Night Football on a Friday ») between the Vikings and Saints in week 16 will be shown on all platforms: Fox, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video and Twitch.

As mentioned above, you will need FuboTV or YouTube TV or the Yahoo Sports app if you want to use the NFL network.

RedZone is a common fan-favorite way to catch all of NFL action. It’s a way to watch every big game in the league. The cheapest way to get to RedZone is through YouTube TV or FuboTV and get one of the respective sports add-ons for $ 11 per month.

If you’re good at watching on your phone, the NFL is offering RedZone as an in-app subscription for $ 35 for the season. As The TV Answer Man points out, while it’s one of the cheapest options to get RedZone, this option is a little tricky to find and the only way to watch it is through the NFL app on your iPhone or Android phone.

In the app, click on the profile icon in the top right corner. You will see a section labeled « Subscriptions » with one line for NFL RedZone. Tap « Access » and you should be able to sign in.

With Dish making peace with the NFL, Sling TV Blue and Sports Extra is another option. This costs $ 40 per month ($ 30 for Sling Blue plus $ 10 for the Sports Extra add-on) but can be used on a variety of devices including iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and streamed in web browsers.

Sling is currently offering RedZone and Sports Extra for one month free of charge to new Sling Blue subscribers.

Note: If you only subscribe to Sling’s Orange package, you will not be able to receive RedZone in Sports Extra. Your basic package must be either Sling Blue or the larger Sling Blue Plus Orange bundle to receive RedZone as an add-on.

The NFL Sunday Ticket is still largely restricted to DirecTV satellite subscribers. However, those who live in buildings where a satellite dish can’t be added can get a streaming version to watch football from $ 294 for the To Go package or $ 396 for a subscription to Max package with the RedZone -Channel (a student version is also available for $ 100). You can check your address on the Sunday Ticket website.

The problem with this, however, is that your local games are not included even if you are eligible. You can only watch Sunday games that don’t air on CBS, Fox, or NBC in your area.
