NFL insider Adam Schefter mentioned three different Philadelphia Eagles players in a Sunday morning post featuring the latest buzz ahead of the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday Here’s what Schefty had to say:

The Philadelphia Eagles were listening to offers from tight end Zach Ertz, but star tight end is on reserve injured and now barred from being traded, under new NFL rules Philadelphia has a similar situation with injured wide receiver DeSean Jackson, but the Eagles would listen to any offer for wide receiver Alshon Jeffery

The Eagles have been trying to trade Jeffery since October 2019 Clearly, however, the teams have not been willing to shoulder his expensive salary

One might speculate that the Eagles avoided putting Jeffery on the reserve / physically unable to perform (PUP) list ahead of the 2020 season in an effort to increase his business value This strategy hasn’t worked since we got into Week 8 and Jeffery is still here and not playing He sort of injured his calf before the Eagles’ Week 7 game, despite the fact that the team only held walkthroughs and not actual workouts
