Companies mentioned include In & Out, the Country House Restaurant, and Napoli Pizza & Sub Inc. . , Hong Fu Restaurant, USA Smoke Shop, Universal Hyundai, Celine Restaurant, The Social and Maryland Fried Chicken. These companies face fines starting at $ 300. Officials said they have the right to challenge them in court.
« Ninety-eight percent of the companies out there meet many of these requirements, » said Tin Boldig, assistant director of planning, environmental and development services.
Of the more than 6. 000 companies that the strike team has visited since July are the repeat offenders they employ. Almost 300 companies have requested repeat visits three to seven times for non-compliance. These include restaurants, bars, retail stores, personal services, gas stations, gyms, and car dealerships.
« We want to continue to encourage these two percent to adhere to the guidelines, » said Boldig.
District officials said they hope the majority of businesses will continue to comply with the new year.
