World News – US – Theo’s behavior at Dina’s memorial prompts Kyle to step down

Monday November 2, 2020: Today on The Young and the Restless, Lola tells Summer, Chance chats with Ashley, and the Abbotts say goodbye to Dina

At Abbott’s mansion, Ashley and Traci tell an emotional Jack it’s time to go to church He thinks about how many times he’s said goodbye to Dina… it’s the last time He asks the sisters to continue; he needs a little more time After Jack leaves, Theo arrives, wary of going to church because of Kyle Jack states that Kyle has to respect being part of the family Theo feels that lack respect Jack thinks he will come back, but Theo doesn’t He promises no blast today Jack is teasing if anyone would like a drama at his memorial, that would be Dina Theo sees the Tear Stone of the love and alluded to the pieces made from the necklace Jack never wanted to rule it out and wishes he was there with them the night he died

At Crimson Lights, Lola tells Kyle that she lit a candle to honor Dina’s memory when Summer walks in and growls, « Of course you’re both together » Lola points out that she lives in the upstairs and remarks about Summer walking away from Kyle because of her insecurities Summer insists their situation has nothing to do with her Lola reminds her to consider what the Abbotts are going through and not to make the day Lola leaves and Kyle wants to be sure he and Summer can coexist in church Summer feels they can be civilized Kyle remembers Dina loved the energy of summer Summer is sure Dina has lit up a lot of parts in his life They decide to drive together

At Society, Chance offers to call Paul and take a personal day to be with Abby at church, but Abby points out that he’s just started They recap wanting the same things in life Abby holds her Teardrop bracelet of Love which means the start of their journey together After Lola arrives Abby knows that Dina meant something to her too Lola swears that she will put aside her animosity with Summer at the reception in honor of Dina

At the park, Ashley and Traci discuss Genoa City in the fall before the conversation turns to their parents Traci and Ashley both feel they are more like John Traci reveals she sketched a book on what she learned from her mother Ash laughs that it will be a little book Traci starts to mourn about the time lost with Colleen but says they learned forgiveness from Dina Ashley thinks she loved them They laugh at Dina and Katherine’s reunion in Heaven and the skinny dip as Chance appears Ashley takes a time alone with Chance She’s proud of Abby and happy he knows how lucky he is

After the service, the Abbotts gather at Society as Theo watches from outside Inside, Summer chats with Jack about Dina She likes her calling him Jackie Lola walks by as Summer tells Jack that she is afraid that she and Kyle have ruined their last chance In the corner, Abby gushes with Ashley about her future with Chance In the kitchen, Theo takes Lola by surprise; he likes to make an entree At the bar, Jack makes a speech about Dina, who was one of a kind They all raise their glasses and wipe their tears In the kitchen, Lola questions Theo at the Abbotts reception Theo is part of the family but doesn’t know what these people expect Lola feels he’s still playing a role – what would the real Theo do in this situation? Théo walks through the doors and announces: « Hello, Abbotts! » He points out that Dina wanted her memorial to be a party and remembers a song Dina liked because she and John always danced to it at the Athletic Club Theo dug up the song from the old days and plays it Jack screams it’s perfect! Summer and Kyle smokes Jack warns Kyle not to intervene Ashley dancing, Traci chuckles and Abby laughs that she can imagine Dina dancing with all the boys in Genoa City Everyone dances and smiles as Lola walks in with food, but Kyle goes away

Summer catches up with Kyle in the park where he complains about not having a family anymore She says it’s silly Kyle admits he may have overreacted – he’s been stressed since his fiancee broke up Talking turns to Theo Summer guarantees the Abbotts to see through him

At Society everyone is seated and telling funny stories of Dina as Chance arrives Ashley explains that they started off slow but DJ Theo entered the room The hilarity continues as they tell stories about Dina’s many men They all raise a glass to remember her for her many adventures Lola smiles at Theo, whose expression changes as he turns away and lowers a shot
