Up-and-coming flyweight contender Ariane Lipski believes she can win Antonina Shevchenko at UFC 255 if she can get under Valentina Shevchenko’s skin before he defends his title against Jennifer Maia.
Valentina’s sister Antonina Shevchenko and Ariane Lipski will lock the horns in a preliminary card game at UFC 255 on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later that night, Valentina Shevchenko will defend her title in the co-main event against Maia. Before the event, Lipski stated that she wanted to get inside Valentina’s head by beating her sister that same night.
In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Ariane Lipski said that if she manages to beat Antonina it will affect her sister. Lipski said that she wanted to mess with Valentina’s head and expressed the wish to fight her soon in the octagon.
In her last fight, Lipski scored an incredible first-round win against Luana Carolina on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. However, Lipski said she was chasing a knockout in the fight and is excited to see how much she developed on her feet in her upcoming clash with Antonina Shevchenko.
Ariane Lipski said if she manages to beat Antonina this weekend she will either crack the flyweight title or be next booked against a top 5 opponent. It’s exactly what she’s looking for to make sure fight night comes.
Lipski has a 13-5 professional record and is 2-2 in the octagon. She dropped her first bouts in the octagon against Joane Calderwood and Molly McCann before winning the next two bouts against Isabela de Padua and Luana Carolina.
