Cleavinger pitched 11 games for Glendale in the Arizona Fall League in 2017, with the current Dodgers assistant pitching coach Connor McGuiness Glendale’s pitching coach.

Cleavinger posed in Oregon and was the Orioles’ third pick in 2015. In June 2018, he blew out the ACL in his right knee and covered the first Class A base at Clearwater. . His rehab work with Phillie’s trainers and exercise coaches made him a stronger, harder-throwing pitcher.

Cleavinger has 14 days of service in the major league and two years of options after using an option in 2020.
