Drew Lock will start at the quarterback when the Denver Broncos host the Miami Dolphins, despite missing training on Wednesday with injured ribs and a strained slash he was backing up against the Raiders last week.
Lock shared snapshots with backup Brett Rypien after missing Wednesday’s workout. Also active are Noah Fant (ribs) and Bryce Callahan, who was sick on Friday.
The Broncos are Shelby Harris for the third year in a row and defensive coordinator Ed Donatell for the fourth year in a row as they recover from the novel coronavirus.
Dolphins linebackers Kyle Van Noy (hip) and guard Solomon Kindley (foot) are both active after being restricted during the week and are considered questionable.
Quarterback Joe Flacco will get his fourth start of the season when the New York Jets visit the Los Angeles Chargers. Sam Darnold is out with a shoulder injury.
The Chargers have the defensive end of Joey Bosa back after missing the last two games due to a concussion. The team put linebacker and tackler Kyzir White on the COVID-19 list on Saturday.
Indianapolis Colts right tackle Braden Smith will miss the game against Green Bay with a thumb injury. This is the second time in the last 26 games that Indianapolis hasn’t started all five offensive linemen. Left winger Anthony Castonzo missed the game in Cleveland in October with a rib injury and the Colts lost 32-23.
Green Bay will be without Tyler Ervin, who has rib and wrist injuries, but cornerback Kevin King and wide receiver Allen Lazard are expected to return after injuries. Lazard hasn’t played since week 3 due to a core injury. King missed the last five games with an injured quadriceps.
The Minnesota Vikings signed a new long snapper this week, veteran 33-year-old Andre DePaola, after Austin Cutting’s low snap last week resulted in a failed extra point in a six-point win in Chicago. Rookie Ezra Cleveland is out with an ankle injury replaced by Brett Jones on the right, but Irv Smith Jr. . (Groin) and cornerback Cameron Dantzler (Concussion) are back on the lineup after being considered questionable.
The Cowboys have defensive ends. DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory are active after being viewed as questionable due to an illness that cost them practice time this week.
