Now the fun begins! The Phoenix Suns are heading to Sacramento to face the Kings for games two and three of the season. This two-player is a new twist on the NBA to cut down travel a little while the pandemic rages on.

Both teams won their opener with big games in close games. The kings dropped the nuggets on the buzzer while the suns moved away from the mavericks with a pair of late buckets.

The Suns continue to list Dario Saric (Quad) and Abdel Nader (Concussion) as out, but everyone else is listed healthy. Frank Kaminsky is exempted from the COVID protocol and is on the active list.

The data is useless as only one game has been played so far, but the Kings have basically returned the same line-up and head coach as they did a year ago. They try to play faster to maximize De’Aaron Fox’s skills, but otherwise run back and hope for growth from the kids.

Marvin Bagley III is healthy this year and is likely to have an impact on the power-forward spot alongside old Sun Richaun Holmes and his new backup Hassan Whiteside. The suns need Ayton’s speed to fight Holmes and his mass to fight Whiteside.

Bogdan Bogdanovic is over. Buddy Hield is now the full-time starter alongside Fox, while rookie Tyrese Haliburton is an active third guard on the rotation who can play both courses as needed. Haliburton was ranked two places after Jalen Smith in last month’s draft. I know a lot of Suns fans loved Haliburton, but it was rumored that he targeted Sac and that his agent invited many teams for one-on-one meetings so they could / could pass it on until the Kings choose him. Let’s see if he made the right choice there.

Frank Kaminsky is clear, saying in a recent media interview that he looks forward to helping the suns identify the games of kings as they unfold. After all, he was on her squad through training camp and preseason.

The best Frank said in the interview: He’s wanted to be in Phoenix all along, so he’s thrilled to be back.

With Dario still out, you can expect Frank to be in one or both of these games this weekend, unless Damian Jones suddenly fits into the scheme in a way that hasn’t been shown before.

The bigger matchup for me will be Devin Booker vs.. . Buddy Hield in the shooter. Hield shoots anytime, anywhere, and Booker has to stay in his grid to make sure he doesn’t get too many open ones. On the other hand, Hield’s defense is nothing like Booker’s offense. It could be that both players get 25 points in this one.
