Jones injured his right thigh in the third quarter of Sunday’s game in Cincinnati, reports Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.
Jones appeared to pinch his Achilles tendon at the end of a seven meter run. Two games later he was unable to make a third throw and left the game. After the investigation and a few dropbacks on the sideline, he returned to the competition only to snap two more snaps before heading back to the bank. According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger, it’s questionable whether Jones will return, but while he’s off the field Colt McCoy will lead the Giants offensive.
