But his skills and all-round game pushed him further up and contributed to it in an offensive sense.

Caicedo has the pace and ability to blow through the opponent and has brilliant vision that allows him to pick out defensive passes.

He said to Marca: « Moises understands the game, his understanding has grown a lot since joining the first team.

« He has a great first touch and control that helps keep the game moving. ”

It’s good news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to have United in the driver’s seat for his signature.

The Norwegian sees the rising star as a long-term replacement for Nemanja Matic, while he could also fill the void if Paul Pogba leaves the club.

And Caicedo himself has admitted that his « dream » is to play at Old Trafford in the future.

In May he told Mundo Deportivo: « My dream is to arrive at Manchester United.

And he also showed how he plans to follow in Kante and Pogba’s footsteps by playing in the Premier League.

He told Global Digital TV: « My challenge is to one day be in the elite of world football. I suggested it to myself, my dream is to play in the big leagues.

“I really like the game of N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba, I learn a lot from them every time I see them. I always try to do what they do, that’s why they are there. ”

And it seems that a deal with United could be closer than ever after his boss confirms they received an offer.

Ramirez said: « We have received an offer from a European club for Moises Caicedo. We are negotiating the proposal.

« It is very likely that he will not be on our team in 2021 because of our proposal. It’s very difficult to keep it. «
