World News – USA – MSU Football lands engagement from 2021 3-star LB Carson Casteel, has been signed to Troy

We discovered two days ago that MSU Football and Mel Tucker had offered 3-star linebacker Carson Casteel of Florence High School in Alabama in 2021. Today Casteel officially committed to the Spartans in a quick turnaround.

Casteel, who is No.. The 69-year-old Alabama player was previously signed to Troy, but Tucker and his staff aggressively pursued him and persuaded him to come to East Lansing.

Aside from Michigan State and Troy, Casteel was also recruited by Kansas, Memphis, Navy, Western Kentucky, and a few others before making his final decision to join MSU.
