A priest was asked for a rectory in St. . John the Evangelist Church in Townsend, Massachusetts caught fire Monday morning.
The priest was taken to the hospital. Further information on the priest’s condition was not immediately available.
Crews from nearby towns like Fitchburg, Pepperell and Ashby were on hand to put out the three-alarm fire that broke out on Highland Street after 2 a.m.. m. Monday.
