Rivers was held by the Rams on Monday for waivers, reports Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
The 26-year-old was picked up by the Patriots on Saturday and will not be able to play the Buccaneers on Monday but should officially join the Rams’ active roster later this week. Rivers appeared in eight games for New England that season and had a total of four tackles and one. 5 sacks in 86 defensive snaps.
