After four seasons and a Christmas special, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comes to an end. Netflix announced in July that Part 4 would be the show’s final season, with the writers having eight more episodes to end the series. « I’m our partner at Netflix, Warner Bros. , thankful. , Berlanti Television and Archie Comics, making us tell the story we wanted to tell the way we wanted to tell it, « said then creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Although Netflix didn’t reveal the reason for canceling CAOS, star Ross Lynch (Harvey Kinkle) blamed the pandemic. Amid COVID, the streaming service has canceled several previously renewed shows. « We would have likely had 10 more episodes if COVID hadn’t happened, » Lynch told NME.

Aguirre-Sacasa was also hoping the show would get Part 5 so it could finally go over with Riverdale. « Thanks for all the love, #sabrinanetflix fans. Part four is our best so far and part five, « Witch War », would have been AMAZING. Continued on the pages of the #CAOS comics. . . « He tweeted in July referring to the comic series that CAOS is based on.

This is not necessarily the last of the wizards, however. « As Zelda says in Part Four: ‘There is no death for witches. Just transformation, « Aguirre-Sacasa teased on Instagram in September. « The story of the Greendale Witches is not over yet. We still have the fourth part, which awaits you with the Eldritch horrors. And then. . . Come closer and I’ll tell you a secret. . . «

He hasn’t revealed what that secret is yet, but there’s always a possibility that Sabrina will appear in The CWs Riverdale, which exists in the same universe as CAOS. Season 5 of the series, which returns in January, will have a zombie / resurrection theme, so we might see a few familiar faces.

It should also be noted that the CAOS characters are owned by WarnerMedia, which owns HBO Max, and which could potentially revive the series for season five that Aguirre-Sacasa had in mind, as was the case with TBS ‘Search Party was the case. In any case, it sounds like more CAOS is coming in some form.
